I'm an actuary (ASA, Society of Actuaries) who spent seven years building insurance products at Samsung Fire & Marine, Korea's largest insurer, and twenty years in the industry. Now, at 47, I'm the founder of an insurance startup built around the oldest idea in Buffett's playbook: float.

47 happens to be the age Buffett wrote his first letter to Berkshire shareholders in 1977. So I'm reading all 48 letters, one at a time — not to summarize them, but to apply one thing from each letter to my own company, every week, and report what actually happened.

An actuary reads Buffett differently: not for stock tips, but for how he priced risk, held float, and let time do the work. That's the lens here.
